Listen to Your Gut

Have you ever taken a course of antibiotics? Did you rebuild your gut microbiome afterward?

No? Well, the lethargy, fatigue, sluggishness, autoimmune problems like thyroid issues, rheumatoid arthritis, and type 1 diabetes, unproductivity, digestive problems such as IBS, constipation, diarrhea, heartburn, or bloating, lack of mental clarity, sleep issues, skin rashes, and allergies, sugar cravings, moodiness, depression, and anxiety, and weight gain or weight loss you may be experiencing can all possibly be explained by the lack of balance in your gut microbiome. Maybe you’ve never taken antibiotics but deal with a lot of stress? As she says in the video above, stress affects our gut microbiomes, as does our food choices.

You may not even be able to rebuild your gut microbiome after you kill off all the good bacteria, but it is certainly worth a try. If you experience any of the above, I suggest you look into rebuilding your gut as best you can, along with any other interventions you may already be doing. You may be surprised at how much these unseen organisms in your gut and brain can affect everything from your mood to your motivation.
