I genuinely believe that part of happiness as a human being comes from growth and adaptation to new situations.
Additionally, as we age, what is easy and comfortable for us begins to shrink. Based on my research and personal experience, I believe it becomes even more important to try to push out of the comfort zone once we are in our 40s just to maintain health.
Lucky for us yoga gives us ample opportunity to push beyond what is easy. Whether it’s a challenging class you never take, or a variation of a pose that you never try, when taught well, yoga presents us with opportunities to find our edge and carefully push beyond it.
