I Got Rid of My ‘Normal’ Shoes Years Ago

Have trouble with standing balance in yoga? There’s a good chance it’s partly due to modern footwear and walking exclusively on flat surfaces. Do you have a pain in your neck, hip, knee, back? This can also be caused by modern footwear. 

In fact, the flat surfaces we walk on, modern footwear, and the lack of stimulation sent to the brain may one day be linked to brain dysfunctions like alzheimer’s and dementia. 

What’s the answer? Well, walk barefoot as much as possible over varied terrain. What about the rest of the time? Minimal footwear.
