One of the studios I work at, Sacred Thread sets an intention each month. We, teachers, are asked to write about this each month so the studio can promote our classes on social media, and I thought it would be fun to share what I had to say about June’s intention Aditi (limitless, boundless) here. I hope you find it inspirational.
“Aditi means ‘limitless’ or ‘boundless’ and is an essential quality of our true nature. However, most of us do not know ourselves in this way. Because we do not know ourselves, we argue over petty things and chase after love, appreciation, admiration, respect, and power. If only we knew our own limitless and boundless nature, we would not seek these things in the world but give them to the world. Yoga can help us find our limitlessness and boundlessness, but we have to be willing to allow yoga to break down the false self that we have constructed. Doing this is scary, which is why most people do not know their True Nature. Be unafraid Yogi. Get on your mat and find Aditi there within yourself.”
