Perhaps Things are Starting to Change?

Generally speaking, most of us humans make a significant change only when things get bad enough. I call this “bottoming out.” When addicts bottom out, they seek recovery, and when most non-addicts bottom out, they start to seek true spiritual guidance rather than just “wearing spirituality.” Well, it looks like the opioid crisis in this country may be one such inflection point for the medical community. Is this the start of a new movement? Or will there need to be a lot more suffering before there is more change? Let’s pray for the former.
