Play Music for Your Brain, Not to Impress Anyone

Why do I encourage you to chant in my yoga classes and not just listen? Because you will get more benefit by taking part and not being a spectator. 

As this video points out, music has unique benefits for your brain than anything else you can do, including other arts. Listening to music has its benefits, but making music is not entertainment or something to pass the time, but a full-brain workout like no other. 

So if you are not already, start a chanting practice today or start learning an instrument.
