Most know and desire to be in a relationship with another or others. But what do we give up when we enter into a relationship? What do we miss? Also, what do we gain from being alone?
Much is gained in being single or alone without the commitments and obligations, spoken or unspoken, that come with relating with others. I have had many periods where I have been without a partner, and these are often periods of tremendous growth.
Don’t get me wrong, being in a relationship is beautiful, but so is being alone. The question is, have you seen and experienced the value of being alone?
