This is a very special version of my “Quiet Yin” sequence that was recorded in November during the ‘Meditation Module‘ portion of the 2017 Mahāpatha Yoga Fall Intensive.
What makes this recording of the sequence so special is the lecture I give during the Yin practice. The lecture contains a talk that I give when teaching meditation that tries show the relationship between yoga practice as we know it in the west today, namely posture (asana) practice, and yoga practice as it is known in the east, primarily meditation (dhyana).
In practice, even though the point of the talk is always the same, I find the actual talk and subject matter can be quite different each time I give it. So I am very excited to share this version of the talk both with those who have perhaps heard a different version of it in the past as well as those who are hearing it for the first time today.
